Wooden Clothes Drying Racks – Get the Best
Finding a good quality wooden clothes drying rack isn’t a very easy thing to do these days. My wife and I spotted one at a garage sale last year and decided to buy one so that we could start air-drying more of our laundry. It wasn’t the most substantial rack that you can get, but I figured what the heck, it was two bucks.
Well, after about two weeks a couple pairs of wet jeans was all it took to snap two of the dowels that held the clothes. We liked using the rack, so I figured I would go out and buy a new one. After looking everywhere, it seemed that no one made one that was built to last. The wood frames all seemed flimsy and ready to snap at any moment.
If you are in the market for a new wooden clothes drying rack, make sure that the frame is made from North American hardwood, and that the dowels are three quarters of an inch around. The “beefier” the better when it comes to these racks. Take my advice and spend a few extra dollars for a high quality rack, otherwise you will be lucky to get a couple of months of good use before you have to buy another one.
