A Daybed Can Add Space To Any Room

A daybed is nothing more than a bed that doubles as a place to sit … but it is so much more!

While bedrooms are primarily for sleeping, there are times when seating is just as important but there may not really be room for any more furniture. This is particularly true in a child’s room or in a small guest room or even in a home office that doubles as a spare bedroom.

Many bedrooms are big enough only for a double or queen size bed and a dresser. But if the room is only use periodically for sleeping or if there is only one occupant, then a daybed may just be the perfect solution. It will provide a bed when needed but also room to move around and use the room for other things.

Decide how the room will be used and the general theme of your decor and THEN choose the daybed frame for the room. You can always dress up a day bed with the ensemble or comforter set you choose, and you can change out the covering every few years. But a good quality daybed will last for many many years so should be chosen carefully.
