In Person or Online Alcohol Awareness Class-What’s the Right Choice?

People who have to take an alcohol awareness class often can’t decide whether to take an in-person or online alcohol class. Some of this depends on the reason why they have to take the class. Is this class for a court requirement? Is this something that their boss or employer has told them to take? Or maybe they want to take the program for their own educational benefit, to just learn a little more about their potential drinking problem.

If the program is for a court requirement then often people want to take the class in the quickest way possible. They just want to get it out of the way and meet a court requirement. For these people a online alcohol class is usually the best option. There are some circumstances in which they can’t make this choice such as the court requiring an in-person class.

If it’s a personal reason why they want to take the class, then the choice is up to them. Some people prefer the group situation and gravitate towards classes with other people. While other prefer to learn on their computer.

Cost is a factor for everybody. Online classes can be 30-50% cheaper than an in-person class. So unless you can find a low-fee program the online / web-based option is going to be the most cost effective.

Regardless of the reason, make sure you check out all the available drug and alcohol class options before you make a decision.
