11 month old pomeranian loss of hair on ears and not gaining any weight?

I just adopted a female pomeranian, feed her twice a day dry puppy food, her coat is growing normal no signs of hair loss anywhere else on her body, other than the tips of her ears. Really worried, have already taken her to the vet but was told to change diet, but has yet to work!! She weighs a mere 5 pounds!!!! Please if anyone has any HELPFUL suggestions, other that consult a second vet please answer!!!!

iono.. you can try to change the food. Food such as innova, evo or wellness are really good for your puppy. My puppy eats it and her fur is super soft. It also helped her fur grow out a little. My dogs a pomeranian mix their so cuteeee. I hope she gets better. If you give her like walmart dog food it just helps her get fat but she wont be good for her. If she eats a high quality dog food brand it stays in her body longer. Low quality dog food usually makes them poop right after they eat. But high quality stays in their stomach longer.
